it's true about the auto-launch not helping when the cd contains malware
(of which MS is not
responsible - not that i commend MS on anything) but in my long long mac
os experience,
the number of users that read manuals, eulas etc is rather dismal!!! It's
usually install first
fix later...
Too bad Steve didn't teach his users to read the readmes and more...
I remember when they delivered PowerMacs 8500s and the like, the Mac boxes
said "by
opening this seal you agree to the user license agreement". Where was the
agreement?
In the box!!! Oops, i guess Steve can't read either!
It would be nice if religious animosities were replaced with real
professional comments instead
of Mac this, pc that (not the first time i tell you it's not very
professional looking for enterprise users
to read)... Instead we could work on pushing up standards in Rev's HTML
handling and to make
those transitions more transparent between platforms, web, rev etc...
just my 2 cents on this OT unrelated slab at pc users which is absolutely
unrelated to rev anything.
But then again, you do enjoy it when you insert a new CD and you're
prompted with an installation
dialog instead of having to go find the installer in the CD manually arent
you?
cheers
Xavier
