Unicode and chunk expressions

I had suggested UTF-8.  Other folks have had success with htmlText.

However, if you have to consider other types of white-space that just 
tab, ASCII space and lf, then you may have to go  through each 
character (2 chars worth) at a time.  And Unicode has just about 
anything you can think of.
