OTOH anyone who does any serious work with databases is familiar with
the term "cursor" as meaning a very specific notion. Trying to think
it away won't work.

Yes, cursor is also that flashing thing on your screen, but a mouse is
also a four-footed rodent. And a screen is something that goes on your
window. No, a real window, with panes. Oh, never mind.
