Howard,

I am working in the dark here, but it could be RevOnline trying to 
connect on startup and not being able. You have a broadband connection 
there? Try going to preferences and setting revOnline not to open on 
Revolution launch, this might get you going.

If revOnline launches on startup and there is not internet connection, 
it will loop for a long period. it can even crash.

try that and get back to us.
