IDE blowing up a lot

I work on OS X 10.4, Rev 2.5.1, and I haven't seen this problem at  
all in weeks and weeks. When I did, I think I recall deciding it was  
something I'd done anyway.

But I can certainly see how this would be disconcerting, to say the  
least.
