Extra cr after every line?

From the docs under "return":

I would guess that your Windows machine is ending each line with CRLF
which translates to 2 linefeeds on Solaris.
Try:
put fld "test" into theData
replace numToChar(13) with empty in theData
Then send it and see what happens.
