A thread was running on this list about something quite similar
recently; you might want to search the archives for it.
The subject was: Get In Line - List Reordering Demo
Also, be aware that an SQL database does *NOT* reorder its records.
You will need to have a field in your database tables which stores an
order number and maintain that yourself, or some such. (You can let
the server reorder the records and return them in a "nice" order by
sorting on that column with the ORDER BY portion of a SELECT
statement).
