Disabling popup menu items

I have taken to using mouseDown and properties to dynamically set the menu
with or with dividers etc depending on platform: e.g. if isMac() then set the
text of me to the MacMenu of me, else set the text of me to the WinMenu of me.
Or initialising the menus at startup. But you get the idea.
