i finally managed to dodge crashes, script losses, and lots of aggravation

PS: I've tested the features as well as possible but I lost patience after
crash, loss of clipboards when you quit RR, dumb script editor, loss of all
my RR prefs when I installed 2.2.1. Seems fine though!
