Reading data from BLOB objects

Bugzilla Bug #369 indicates that there was a problem with BLOBs and 
PostgreSQL, but that it was fixed.  Does anyone know which version of 
Rev this was fixed in?  I've been trying with version 2.2.1, but it 
does not seem to be working for me.
