OT: Virtual PC vs "Real" PC

Hi All,

FWIW [virtually nothing, since the product is now discontinued], 
there is an alternative that was consistently rated 4 to 5 times 
faster than VPC: SoftWindows.

Whereas VPC emulates the entire Intel instruction set, SoftWindows 
translates some instructions directly to Mac OS calls.  Running 
SoftWindows 98 on an original iBook & Mac OS 9.2, I was able to run 
ESRI's ArcExplorer "GIS for Everyone" tutorials with "reasonably" 
acceptable speed.

Once again, the better product bites the dust...flattened by the 
Microsoft juggernaut.
