An alternate way to achieve this effect is Trevor DeVore's window external
which allows you to do the same on OSX, but with *real* transparency.  Which
means windows can be moved without having to recapture the desktop.

...and place it in your Rev application folder.

Then play with a demo toy by running the following in your message box:

Bonus: reveal the windows, drag them to random locations on your desktop,
and click one of the cycle buttons: viola, instant alien star system. :-)
