comment msg script?

In the script editor...

Select the text you want to comment out
Select the "Script-->Comment" menu options

This works for me but I'm using Win XP

using an iMac  OS 9.2

how can multiple lines of message box script be comment without typing "--"
in front of every line

selecting multiple lines and typing cmd--  will not work :-(

i know that the first line of msg script can not be commented, without an
error msg
