rtftext in 2.2

Hi all,

has anyone succesfully exported the rtftext of a field on OS X with 2.2?

I have a couple of lines, some are "bold" some not, but after exporting 
to
a rtf-file (yes, correct syntax!) "Mellel" and "ThinkFreeOffice" CANNOT 
open
that document, TextEdit will open it but the formatting is gone...

Any hints are very welcome...
