Devanagari woes

Has anyone on the list managed to type flawless Devanagari in a Rev 
field? Compared with the behaviour of Rev 2.1. on System 9, Rev 2.1.2 (on 
a G4 PowerBook with OS 10.3.2) has improved very much. It is now 
basically possible to type Devanagari but something is still going wrong. 
The position of the anusvara is frequently not where it should be and "u" 
doesn't show up under "t", to give two examples. Am I missing something?
