It would be useful to pin down the recipe.  Here, with OS X 10.3.3 on a 
1GHz PowerBook G4 I see the same issue Kurt reports.

If any of you see this behavior please add your system info to the 
Bugzilla report, along with any other info that might be helpful for 
diagnosing this.
