Keep in mind that when using the player object with audio files on Mac OS X, there is currently (Rev 2.x) a problem whereby the controller is not properly updated.  This isn't important if the user does not have to start/stop the sound, since you'd likely not use the controller in that case anyway. I understand that this is a known issue and will hopefully be addressed soon.
