Revolution as server-side application

In deciding whether or not to renew my professional developer license
I'm wondering how well Revolution would lend itself to creating either a
downloadable application that makes using a website faster or a
server-side app linked to a server-side database that allowed a website
visitor to engage in more feature rich and personalized interaction. Can
for example Revolution interface with mySQL and .php technology?
