Alejandro bezier curve tool:

Great start indeed...

To answer Scott's question "smooth" means... smooth enough that the 
movement of an object along the points of the path appears smooth... 
not necessarily "illustrator" smooth...

so yes this bezier tool could suffice. Though I don't see a way to add 
points unless I start breaking my head on that code which is not going 
to happen tomorrow, so ... hopefully we can get Alejandro's importer 
working  (doesn't handle AI 10 docs)
