File format for Build icon in OS X

I believe it's an ICNS file. If you install the OS X Developer Tools 
CD, there is an app Icon Composer. You can drag and drop into it 4 
images: 16,32,48, 128 pixels, with transparency, and Icon Composer 
saves a ICNS file.
