2 solutions :

1. use wait for 1 sec with messages

2. better : the send command

local Start, timerIsStarted

on startMyTimer
   put the seconds into Start
   put true into timerIsStarted
end startMyTimer

on myTimer
   if timerIsStarted then
     put (the seconds - value(Start)) into field "Timer"
     send "myTimer" to me in 1 sec
end if
end myTimer
