Thanks for the suggestions. No solution yet but the problem in plainer. Somewhere in the process unwanted characters are inserted into the message. 

revgoURL "http:www.runrev.com" results in http://"http:www.runrev.com"/  in the Address bar.  

revgoURL "www.runrev.com" results in http://"www.runrev.com"/ 

revgoURL www.runrev.com results in http://"www.runrev.com"/ 

revgoURL tAddress (with www.runrev.com in tAddress) results in http://"www.runrev.com"/ 

revgoURL runrev.com results in nothing

How to get rid of these unnecessary additions? The cat is being killed with kindness.
