Mac visible file bit?

I wouldn't recomend this, but if your using MacOS X then you could always
edit the invisible's file that controls what files are not visible on your
computer.  Check www.macosxhints.com to see where that file is located.

Now I don't know if it will actually let you modify it, but it's worth a
try.  And always remember, MAKE A BACKUP FIRST.
