Looks like we've come full circle to my post of 22 Feb, which ended, 
"I would be willing to pay a separate license fee for a tool that 
would allow me to create externals scripted in Transcript."

I'd accept (and pay for) that.  Does anyone know Tom Pittman well 
enough to ask him if he would consider rewriting CompileIt! for 
MetaCard?
