Animation & dissolves - platform questions

Hi folks. New subscriber alert.

I'm using Rev'n 1.1.1 on a PowerMac G4 867 running OS X 10.1.5.

I'm just getting started with Revolution, and I found that a simple
animation ran smoothly when previewed with Animation Manager, but was very
jerky when run from the stack or as a standalone. Also, the dissolve
transition was v-e-r-y s-l-o-w on my Windows 98 test machine.

Is this expected behaviour?
