Looking back through previous posts I found a reference where someone
wanted to control X-10 devices from their Mac. This led me to
http://www.seracsoftware.com/ where they offer shareware scripting
additions for Applescript for serial port access. Whether it works
properly with USB, I don't yet know but I will let the list know if it
does (give me a week).
