Creating a networkable version

A related question to my last one...

Suggestions on how to create a networkable version of a CD on Windows, where
most of the program stays on a central server, but portions of it (that need
to be modified by the user) are held on various local hard drives. Our
software is educational in nature and used by schools and libraries.
