groups and background

Yikes!  The owner is the stack.  And the stack is next in its path.

I had somehow corrupted the stack with some group experiments and was 
getting errors.  Now I don't.  That same test showed the group as not 
placeable.  I'll try to recreate this.  But, it looks like groups on on 
cards are placeable and have owners, when things are working right.
