losing code??

has anyone else experienced this??
The script getting lost and replaced by  weird characters. Sometimes it
happens if it unexpectadly quits, but also it happens just going between
objects in the objects pallete? I've had this problem in OS 9,2 and OSX ,
mostly i use OSX .

Also the do command only seems to intermttently, and insert script doesn't
seem to really work at all??
