Ken,

Sorry about that. What I meant is that it is dead as far as Apple is
concerned. It still sells the software, but (as you know) it hasn't been
touched since 2.4.1 was released many many years ago. Try calling Apple for
tech support on it, or asking "what's Apple going to do with HyperCard?" at
a trade show. ;-)

I know that there are many people and companies still using it, and you're
absolutely right that it is the father of all the xCard environments. But
all it takes for it to be "legacy" is for Apple to pull the page on the web
site and stop selling it.

I don't mean to start anything... far from it. In fact, I started myself
with HyperCard 1.0 (as I'm sure many others on this list have). But given
the fact that Apple is barely acknowledging its existence, it is certainly
not the "tool of choice" any more.
