I have a stack which contains a graphic with about
120 popup buttons on it. The graphic and buttons are contained in a group
which has vertical and horizontal scrollbars. Everything is fine in Win2k
& 98 but in XP the scrolling is really slow despite being on a 1.2 GHz
machine with 256Megs of RAM. Actually, dragging the scrollbar is really
slow while clicking on the scroll arrows is mindnumbingly slow. The only
fix I've found is running it in Win98 compatibility mode. That fixes the
scrolling problem but now there's and annoying black rectangle below and to the
right of the cursor. Yes, I've downloaded the latest driver for the 64MB
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX Graphics card with TV-out. Unfortunately, I've already
had to deliver the machine but, I'm still curious about the problem and have no
doubt I'll be facing it again soon. Have I got a video driver problem
or a OS problem?
