That seems quite feasible. Mark Waddingham has been very attentive in
working with me to help us maintain the MC IDE going forward, and the
notion of using parts of the Rev install within MC was one he had as well.

The tricky part is making sure those Rev resources are available for
inclusion at build time in the Standalone Builder.

I don't use the Standalone Builder much myself anymore, since long ago I
needed my own tool that was more automatable. It's nearly completely
independent of MC now, and will be fully independent in the coming
weeks. It currently provides facilities for managing external
libraries, and could easily be extended to handle Rev stuff as well
(although aside from the printField routines and revGoUrl, there's
precious little there I'd use myself; my tool will concatenate
designated handlers into a single backscript, as opposed to RunRev's
method which takes up as many as 8 out of the 10 available backscript
slots).

My SA may not be to everyone's taste, but once it's done I'll release it
as a plugin and folks can decide whether we integrate it into MC directly.

Alternatively, if someone here wants to add such support to the current
Standalone Builder that might also be useful, but be forewarned it's a
lot of work.
