Top layer and layering

Layering is a big issue in one of my projects, and the layering 
changes constantly.  Sometimes a thing needs to appear on top of 
other things, and I went to a lot of trouble to determine the layer 
it needed to appear at.

I just got the notion to try something, and what are the odds?  It worked!

The simplicity is awesome.

All you need to query is:

put the number of layers + 1 into topLayer

And voila!
