Saving data to stacks via CGI

Hi all,

experimenting with cgi,
i was able to save data
from a html form in a webpage
to a stack in the cgi folder.
this new data could be stored
in custom properties or fields.

only had to use this line
(before stop using the stack)
to save the new data:

save this stack

this is great, just noticed
that this option is not included
or recommended in any page about
cgi in this platform.

Does exist data loss risks
saving data to stacks in 
the cgi folder?
