Creating aliases

Ah well, I went back to the Applescript solution for OSX.  I had that 
working last week and when I went to wrap up the project by tweaking 
it for Windows, I had to find the Metacard solution for creating a 
desktop alias.  It was such a simple thing on Windows I felt surely 
it should be as simple on OSX.

I'm guessing that the whole package thing on OSX is what makes it 
unhappy for creating aliases in Metacard.

Now all I have to do is iron out the file permission thing and it 
will be ready for final beta.
