Metacard Plugins Manager

Hi everybody,

Some questions about the functions/workings of the plugins manager.
Why is it necessary the plugins manager loads all the plugin stacks of 
the plugin folder into memory when opened?
Shouldn't this be an extra option? Or at least have the choice which 
ones have to be loaded after the prefs are set?
Or purge from memory those who's prefs are not set or who's 
purgeWhenClosedprefs are set?
Only specialized plugins have to reside in memory, but most of them can 
be purged when not used.
I know everybody can roll their own changes, but if this is of general 
interest then may be a general change.... :^)
If  this has already been tackled then disregard this mail.
