1. As far as I know, we are not talking about moving this list to
Yahoo but searching for a web place to handle distribution and
development. So those lovely tail messages do not have any bearing :)

2. Look at the MacHTTP project at SourceForge, a small open source
project with just a few people really doing active work and only
sporadically. This is more like what our project would be. (And if
you are confused about using CVS, check out their instructions for
using MacCVS -- but as I wrote earlier, we do NOT have to use cvs at
all.)

3. Personally, I don't really care that much where the files are as
long as they are easily retrievable. After all, I won't be posting
them there myself. And http-based downloads will do AFAIC.

4. Each location has its own pluses and minuses. I think that appeal
of Yahoo is more of a community feeling whereas SourceForge is more
in style of traditional programmers.

5. There are already two MetaCard groups at Yahoo, although I do not
think any is really active.

6. A couple people offered to contribute for having a proper (paid)
web site for this project. On second thought, however, I wonder
whether this is justified and supportable on longer term. After all,
we are talking about sth that will probably be of real interest to a
dozen or two people.
