This post from Monday - Oct. 6th - was apparently lost because of the
reported mail server problems. Here it is again in a slightly modified
version:

"We" have.

Just read the posts of this thread again.

JB is experimenting to build a spreadsheet.

I have successfully used a colorpattern generator for about two years
(and do not have major complaints about speed or save issues), but have
reduced the number of basic fields to 2700 - plus a number of other
controls - to suit the configuration of my main computer.

Just to test the save speed I created a card with a matrix of 5400 blank
fields (60 x 90). To save this stack took 30 seconds (Windows 98 SE, 800
MHz, 256 MB RAM).

The 1 minute 10 seconds save-time for my other stack with only 2700
basic fields - which I spoke of in an eearlier post - is caused by the
long scripts of about 200 other controls and color information of a
number of color patterns stored in arrays.

The far greater speed - compared to what JB reported - is probably
influenced by higher RAM MBs.

Wilhelm Sanke
