Desktop Document Icons on the Mac

make sure you dont change the MC icons.
Dont use the same ids or application creator id as MC either...
i forgot all the resources involved but i think there's the FILE resource to
modify, etc...

and then rebuild your desktop to update the desktop's icon database.
