Is there an opestack handler that triggers the replacing of the backscripts?

I've been relying on backscripts extensively for years and found MC's
implementation the most robust yet.   If this is indeed a bug I'd report it,
but first check the messaging to see if there may be something less
"mysterious" at play. :)
