set directories with spaces

Hi Simon,
looks like you are working with 243b1.
In that case Brians suggestion should do the trick.
My test was with 242 on OSX so
set the directory to "/Volumes/Mac OS X"
was working.
there is a note in the read me about "true" UNIX paths to be used with
that version on X.
