Mac OS X Bug?: MetaCard won't open its own stacks

As I mentioned, I had sent a bug report in on this at about the time I sent
the question to the list.

As a result of submitting this as a bug report, I have had a chance to
experience first hand the legendary technical support from Scott Raney that
others have raved about.  Now I know they were not exaggerating.

Within about 20 minutes of sending my bug report, I got a reply from Scott
asking for some clarification.  Since I do not have Mac OS X on my computer
at home, I had to go back to the university to do a little more testing.
But I got a reply back to him within the hour.

Less than an hour later, I got this reply from Scott:

>Found it: my confusion was caused by the fact that if you save
>*twice*, the file does get the proper type/creator.  We can fix this
>for build 5 (due out as soon as we get all the 10.2 problems fixed),
