German keyboard and @ symbol

Hi

Can someone help?

I have a report of someone not being able to type the @ symbol in a
Metacard application on a German keyboard layout on Win 2000. (I
believe they are using the English OS with the German keyboard
layout.)

The standard keyboard combination for @ on a German keyboard is Alt
Gr + q. This works on my machine in Win 98, Win NT 4 and Win XP when
the German keyboard layout is selected, so it doesn't look like a
Metacard problem.

But I don't have Win 2000 installed, so before I blame the problem on
the person's machine/OS/stupidity/etc. , could someone using the
German keyboard layout on Win 2000 please confirm that they can (or
can't) use Alt Gr + q to type @.

Cheers
Dave Cragg
